Natalie's 21st Birthday

Jeremy's sister Natalie turned 21 so we all headed to Vegas :) I have a lot of pictures cuz I stole them from Natalie! ( thank you!)

US OPEN SUPER CROSS

We went to the US open of Super-cross at the MGM... we only got one picture cuz I'm an amazing photographer. :) But It was a lot of fun we stayed the night and then the next day went to the Bodies and Titanic Exhibit at the Luxor which was really cool and super interesting.

One of my favorite cakes we have done! Super tall, All edible hand dusted Sugar Flowers, hand painted bows with edible luster dust and gold piped monogram. Very classic but I loved it.

Kanarraville Falls

Jeremy and I hiked Kanarraville Falls on Sunday and it was amazing! We had never been there before and it was so fun, the trail is pretty much in the river most of the time so it felt so good to get out of the heat and cool off in the stream/river.

I know jealous of me scaling the wall right?

I had some pretty funny videos of me trying to climb and Jeremy sliding down the river but cant figure out how to upload? Ill keep trying but for now this is all you get ha!

So..... I guess ill admit that I have been to Vegas for the last three weekends in a row. And it was so much fun!!! I guess Ill start with the lastest since my pictures seemed to download that way :)

Kensey, Brock, Jeremy and I went to see Chelsea Handler, SO FUNNY. I love her show so instantly bought tickets when I heard she was coming to Vegas! Thanks to Kensey I have pictures to document because I am the worst at taking them. haha

Jeremy and I stayed the night and Kensy and brock had to drive home, so I dont have any other pics (whoopsie) but we stayed at the Wynn because somehow I had gotten really cheap rates? It was so beautiful, we got up and layed by the pool which was AMAZING! The weather was perfect!

The weekend before I went down to the Aesthetics and Hair Conference. Some of us girls stayed the night. Girls trip are always fun :)

Jeremy and I on Sunday went up to Kolob canyon and did the Middle Fork Taylor Creek Trail, neither of us had done it before and we had a lot of fun!!! It was so pretty once you get back into the canyon the trail pretty much goes in between one of the " five fingers" so we were between two canyons.. I actually brought my camera ( yay)

( which also includes Zion) we would go to Zion. we took our bikes and Jeremy's parents, parked in spring dale and rode up to the narrows and back down, stopping to do the weeping rock trail. I forget how pretty it is up in Zion! Thanks Jer for the fun weekend :)

Maybe I should make a blog for ICING so I don't keep posting on my personal blog about cakes, BUT I probably wouldn't be doing much posting otherwise ! ha ha I thought this one turned out really pretty though, and it was fun to accent with all the piping, cutouts and the sugar diamonds, bloomers did the beautiful roses. :) and the actual cake was red velvet, really fun.

Well I haven't posted forever because I just haven't had time!! Between the spa and decorating wedding cakes I honestly have barley even seen Jeremy in like a month it seems like! We have done a TON of cakes the last two weeks! I think everyone wanted to get married over spring break :) I have had a couple ppl wanting to see what I have been working on so I thought Id post some of the cakes!

It was Jeremy and I's anniversary on the 3rd, THREE YEARS! Its crazy how fast it goes! We celebrated by going up to Springdale and staying the night, it was so fun! I forget how pretty it is up there!
Jeremy has been on his dirt bike pretty much n on stop cause the weather is amazing outside! His dad always films him and his friends.... and for Christmas he got a new mac so he has compiled all of the footage into a video, its pretty cool! Its about ten min long, and the more recent stuff is to the end including the backflip attempts so if you watch make sure you watch the end cause its pretty cool!

haha as I am posting Jeremy is yelling for me to grab him some scissors so I go to find him and this is what i find. "Jeremy's Grooming Salon" Ha ha ha Diesel is not happy!

K well this is a long enough post to make up for lost time :)

So.... my vacuum pretty much just stopped working... and lately we have been using Jeremy's shop vac to vacuum.. .which was a pain and honestly didn't work that great either. So after eyeballing this beauty for a while we splurged ( my Christmas present) :) and bought the dyson dc17. I had vacuumed earlier the day we bought it ( not knowing we were going to get it) and after we bought it i vacuumed after opening... It was AWFUL! what came out of our carpets... it has the clear bin so you can see every dirt particle you suck up.. I swear this is the best thing i have ever bought... we have done our carpets, baseboards, matresses etc... I swear it looks like I got new carpets! Def. a must have :)

Of course we had to go to Twilight opening night!! I went with my in-laws to vegas to the midnight showing of twilight.. super fun, LOTS of screaming girls, but it was fun to head down to vegas and hang out with everyone! We had girls night out dinner and a movie. :)

Mexican Riviera Cruise

Our cruise was so much fun, we had a blast... here is a couple pics

In cabo we went scuba diving! Jeremy and I's first time.. my parents are certified so they talked us into it... SO SO much fun... we were 50 feet under water! it was crazy! make the collage big because some of the pics are way funny...

So I saw this on Oprah and I kind of want it! Anyone used, heard of, saw on Oprah too?? I googled it and read a couple reviews.. everyone seemed to be pretty happy about it? Pretty much what its an ebook, stores up to like 200 books on a slim screen that you can take any where, also purchase books anywhere, so if you finish your book you just type the next book your interested in on amazon or search the best sellers and download it in about 4 seconds. saves paper and the books are ALL under $ 9.99, even the best sellers. so it suppose to save you money? they reatil for like $350.00.. i know kind of a lot... Thoughts?

So I found this web site that tells you how many chemicals are in your products, deodorant, laundry soap, baby wipes, makeup, etc etc.... pretty much anything that contacts your skin or you put on your skin... crazy how "potentially harmful" everything is really... and makes me nervous also because I am smearing product on people day in and day out at the spa.. constantly absorbing... makes you think... does me anyway. check out you can type in anything and it will bring it up.. see what your using

So I seem to have insomnia latley... its 2:00 am and I'm STILL not tired. I need to change my sleeping schedule for sure. Seems like a good time for a random post.

I FINALLY died my hair... I think it was pretty much my natural color it had been so long.. but my Sister Jentry just moved salons to "Kiss and Makeup" and does a fab. job :)

Got a new phone and am going to take it back tomoorow... CAN NOT figure it out.. way too many options. took me a half hour to make a call today because somehow I had turned off my service connection? DUMB

Loving "Endless Summer Tans" (in plaza next to barefoot gym.) they do Custom Airbrush Tanning ( they color match you, and its a person spraying you not a machine so its looks way better and professional) and its pretty much the same price as mystic tan..

So I have never used this Picasa thing before so I hope this works........ sorry if it doesn't?? Kensey, Jessica, and I had a girls trip to cancun... So fun! So Pretty! I had never been to Cancun before... and Jeremy was nervous for just us girls to go off to Mexico.. haha but it was a blast! We literally were the lazyiest bums by the pool for four days!!! The pictures are of us.... going to dinner, laying out, our hotel, releasing turtles ( we wanted to steal ours and take them home with us...they were the cutest things! but they told us we would go to jail if we tried... haha) a funny sign that was posted, karaoke ( halarious) etc.. etc.. :) :)

We went camping this weekend in Navajo Lake... So Pretty! I'm not much of a picture taker so this is all you get ha ha. wish I would have taken some on our bike ride cause the views were great... but forgot my camera at the campsite.
We just bought this tent...I liked it cause it seemed to feel safer haha.

Master Cleanse

Started the "Master Cleanse" yesterday, have geen really excited about it and it seemed like everyone I had talked to really liked it!!! So my sister Tara and I went and bought enough ingredients for 10 days ( how long the cleanse is for) Pretty much what it consist of for those of you who don't know. You drink a elixir of Lemon Juice, Maple Syrup, and Cayenne Pepper for 10 days. and other than a laxative tea and what they call "salt water flush" ( salt and water ) that's all you eat or drink for ten days! Suppose to clean out your colon and whatnot. So after all day of starving and avoiding my concoction of what looked like vomit in my water bottle and every time I tried to drink it I got the sick chills and wanted to throw up. I called my sister for some back up to see how she was doing to get me through .. She said she drank all 64 oz of the drink and actually liked it. ( gag) and was completely fine. so I was going to try to stick it out... when I called her an hour later she was at in and out burger! ha ha ha ha. So my ten day cleanse was cut short, a day pretty much. I gave in. but at least I can say I tried right?? I would for sure rather run a marathon than try to drink that crap again, the smell of it alone gives me a headache haha. For anyone who is interested I have both books and all the ingredients for 9 days. :) :) :) The kicker is that I was confident that I was going to do it for 10 days, kind of like how I am confident that I'm going to win the lottery, or the HGTV dream home haha.

So I hate to admit it but for Christmas Jeremy's family got us a play station 3... and we bought the game Call of Duty 4...and its like an addiction hahaha. I totally play online and win twelve year old kids. and the saddest part is we finally broke down and bought a headset, now I feel like a true gamer. But its honestly the funnest game, and now everyone in the family/friends has one and we battle against each other online ( which is the reason we even bought the headset) haha I took some picutres of Jeremy gaming it up. any fellow gamers out there that aren't ashamed to admit can join our friends ( Nelson790) :) :) hahaha

I don't know why but I got the best laugh out of this driving down the freeway with their lawn mower strapped to the top of their van.... :) had to take a picture. Jeremy and I have been in New Harmony this weekend helping his family pretty much gut his grandma's 100 year old house...( probably not really a hundred years old but I'm sure its close) I meant to take pictures while we were there... but forgot in the masses of SPIDERS and MICE that distracted me... also did I mention the creepy celler with huge hooks hanging from the ceiling where they used to hang the deer? But once you get past all of the above its so nice and pretty up there! It will be nice once its remodeled/debugged for all of his family to enjoy!

So one of my biggest pet peeves is when you go to the dermatologist ( or Doctor) and you ask them for like a simple topical cream for your skin at night... ( in my case to help keep my skin clear) and they write you FIVE prescriptions... two antibiotics, one morning one night/ two creams in the morning/one at night... etc.. I think you get the picture, this has happened to me on NUMEROUS occasions. Im just like what the heck, i really dont want to go drop a couple hundred filling all of these thanks! Nor do I think i need them. anywho... I was emailed this today and it just goes to show you who's best intrest your doctor has in mind. ( not everyones im sure, but most) not that this is the first time I have heard that Doctors get perks for prescriptions but DANG. 60,000 spending account! Ill let you read for yourselves :)

Ahari claims that drug companies often hire former cheerleaders and ex-models, as well as former athletes and members of the military, even if they have no background in science.

During their five-week training class, Ahari says he was taught sales tactics such as:

Ahari claims that he's even heard stories about sales reps helping to pay the cost of a doctor's swimming pool, or taking a doctor to a nightclub where a hostess was paid to keep him company.

For this work, sales reps often earned more than researchers. On top of a base salary of $50,000 for starting reps, Ahari says, "there were four quarterly bonuses, an annual bonus, stock options, a car, 401K, great health benefits, and a $60,000 expense account."

Quaker Oats has recalled some of its popular Aunt Jemima pancake mixes because of the risk of salmonella. The recall includes 1,000 cases in 17 states.

So the season premiere was tonight and I hate to say it but I found myself bored and disappointed they need to spice up the drama on this " reality " show. :) maybe next week will be better, and what's with Rock of Love with Brett Michaels... they keep skipping weeks! ( I have been sick today soo pretty much I haven't left the couch and caught up on a ton of shows) I hate it when you don't get anything accomplished!!! Also I didn't win the dream home DANG! I was pretty confident I was going to win this year! AND to top it off someone won the 276 MILLION DOLLAR JACKPOT, which I was also confident that I was going to win... haha. oh well .

So for those of you who dont check Perezhilton.com religiously like me, I thought I would re-post this. I take this ALL OF THE TIME!!!.. not that it doesn't have vitamins and what not in it but. still!!!

Airborne is shit!!!! The company has just settled a class action lawsuit for $23 million!!!!

"There's no credible evidence that what's in Airborne can prevent colds or protect you from a germy environment," David Schardt, a nutritionist at the Center for Science in the Public Interest, said in a written statement this week. "Airborne is basically an overpriced, run-of-the-mill vitamin pill that's been cleverly, but deceptively, marketed."

Back in March 2006, after an ABC News report revealed that the company's clinical trials were not conducted by doctors or even scientists, Airborne changed their advertising campaign when a plaintiff f f iled suit against them.

Turns out the "clinical trials" were just conducted by two random individuals!

We feel lied to!!!!!

The CSPI said the Airborne company will have to refund money to consumers who bought its product, and it will pay for advertisements in large publications with instructions on how to get refunded.

So I thought this was interesting and is just clips of the article.

Clarisonic MD brush, the spa I work at started carrying them after they hit Oprah's fav. list and so of course I had to buy one and I have loved it! does a really deep daily cleansing , less clogged pores, better texture, products penetrate deeper etc. etc. etc. thought I'd share it with you all, would recommend to EVERYONE!

So I have felt like I have had NOTHING to blog about lately~ So after reading Kaity's post I decided id post some good books I have read recently! First agreeing with her "Skinny Bitch" is brutal but a necessary read!! I loved it and you will never eat the same again. Second is "Janet Evanovich Plum Series", sooo funny I was literally laughing sooo hard Jeremy had to come in the room to figure out what I was doing. If you are in the mood for crying (but still really good) Nickolaus Sparks "The Choice" or "Dear John" I just started Kite Runner and cant seem to get into it, any one read?

"SkinnyBitch" also has a cookbook, Excited for Stephenie Meyer's book coming out soon "The Host" hope that its as good as the last series she wrote :) Does anyone else have some books they reccomend?

So I found a blog that tells you how to change your layout without losing your info. The blog is sjhblogdesign.blogspot.com. Its really hard though... but maybe its just me! So Jeremy and I went to stay for the weekend in Vegas.... and my uncle got us tickets to the Blue Man Group... 3rd Row! They make you wear poncho's so when they do the drumming with the paint it doesn't splatter you :) Its was fun.. Jeremy really liked it because there was ALOT of drumming and stuff and he plays the drums.... so here are a couple pic's. !

Anything related to dirtbikes he LOVES.... so of course I was dragged ( okay not dragged ) but We got tickets to go to an AMA Motocross thing that was sponsored by Rockstar.... (a race in vegas) so here are a couple pics to document the occasion... Did i mention Pink was in the booth next to me who is A TON smaller than you think... or well I thought :) and it was catered by Rockstar ( FREE ROCKSTARS!!) haha ya.. jeremy had like 5 in my purse... it was a couple weeks ago but here are the pics anyway!

Okay so i officially am retarded... it took my like three hours to figure out how to even post and put pictures on here so you better like them ;) ha ha.. but these are some Halloween pic's... I didn't get any of Jeremy and I forgot my camera( even though we had awesome costumes) dang it! but i managed to catch Dusty and Diesel in theirs quickly before they ripped them off! The other pic's are the pumpkins we carved... we went with the Disney Villain theme... :)
